The companion R package for Vibes to Variables — the lab’s open data-literacy textbook — is now live on GitHub. The package wraps a 22-million-row 2018 Twitch chat-and-stream corpus behind a learner-friendly API so undergraduates can do real analysis without first fighting a dataset.
The sole-led manuscript The Platform Flattening of Gendered Affect — a computational-feminist STM analysis of 82,623 pandemic remote-work tweets — has been submitted to Information, Communication & Society.
The next manuscript out of the Twitch identity-tags thread is under review at Convergence (CON-26-0451).
A sole-PI proposal to NSF 25-543 Future CoRe — Reciprocal Human-Machine Learning, $477K over four years — has been submitted. Decision window: June to August 2026.
Tenure granted and rank changed to Associate Professor of Mass Communications at SIUE. The lab continues under its updated name as AURA Lab.
