v2v R package goes live

The companion R package for Vibes to Variables — the lab’s open data-literacy textbook — is now live on GitHub. The package wraps a 22-million-row 2018 Twitch chat-and-stream corpus behind a learner-friendly API so undergraduates can do real analysis without first fighting a dataset.

NSF Future CoRe proposal submitted

A sole-PI proposal to NSF 25-543 Future CoRe — Reciprocal Human-Machine Learning, $477K over four years — has been submitted. Decision window: June to August 2026.

Tenure and promotion to Associate Professor

Tenure granted and rank changed to Associate Professor of Mass Communications at SIUE. The lab continues under its updated name as AURA Lab.
